Pant played on a delivery from William O’Rourke. Ravindra Jadeja has joined KL Rahul at the crease after Sarfaraz Khan was dismissed on 150 by Tim Southee. Sarfaraz, who hit his maiden Test ton, scored a career best 150 off just 194 balls, helping India take a sizeable lead over New Zealand. Earlier, rain delayed the resumption of the game by over two hours.Meanwhile, Pant has become the fastest Indian wicketkeeper to score 2500 Test runs.
